Since your iPhone 11 is running iOS 13.4.1, I recommend ensuring your iCloud account is upgraded to two-factor authentication and not still using the older two-step verification. Thanks for providing more info about the device you are using. Why wouldn't I just get a notification from calendar itself letting me know that someone is inviting me to share a calendar? Why would this have to be done through email and a browser? It makes no sense. It displays the message in the final screenshot, giving me nowhere to enter the two-factor code.
ACCEPT SHARED CALENDAR ON MAC CODE
In the 4th screenshot, I'm clearly getting the two-factor authentication code, and clearly in the final screenshot, there is nowhere to enter this code.Īlso you said "or to have the invitation sent directly to the email as provided in the last screenshot."Īs I mentioned in the initial post, and clearly displayed in the first screen shot, this was sent to my email.ġ: Other user shares a calendar and emails the invitation to my email address (which is also my icloud id)Ģ: I open email/invitation and click "Join Calendar"ģ: Apple Mail opens Safari and navigates to icloud sign-in in second screen shot.ĥ: I'm prompted (on the same device) with the two-factor prompt in third screenshot.Ħ: I press the allow prompt and am given the two-factor 6-character code in fourth screenshot.ħ: Press ok. Clearly it meets the requirements for two-factor as outlined in your links you provided.

You're clearly failing to understand or choosing not to understand the problem here. How are you supposed to accept it on a mobile device when someone sends it? The device is unlocked with faceID, and the correct username and password were entered, and the 2 step prompt was accepted. I was able to get onto a desktop today and accept the invite on, but I needed access to the calendar yesterday, and had no access to a computer to accept it.
ACCEPT SHARED CALENDAR ON MAC VERIFICATION
But there is nowhere to enter the code, it just says "Two step verification is enabled for this account, to accept this invitation, use icloud or ask the organizer to send to a new invitation to I press accept and it displays the 2 step 6-character code. (which is silly anyways, if I'm on the device that's logged into that icloud account and it's unlocked why wouldn't it open the calendar app and ask me if I want to accept the shared calendar invite?)Īnyways, when I enter my userID and password I get the 2 step prompt on my phone that my account is being accessed. When I receive the email link on my iphone and open it, it opens Safari and asks me to log in to icloud. I have someone trying to send me an invitation to a shared calendar.

I have 2 step turned verification on, and understand how it works.
